Eklipse
AskZyro PickFlat-rate AI highlight clipping built for streamers, not repackaged for them.
Best for
Twitch, YouTube and Kick streamers who broadcast regularly and want short-form clips for TikTok/Shorts/Reels without hiring an editor or burning minutes on metered tools.
Skip it if
You stream occasionally (metered clipping is cheaper), your content isn't gameplay, or you want live real-time capture rather than post-stream scanning.

The 30-second verdict
Eklipse does one specific job well: it watches your streams so you don't have to clip them. For streamers grinding the VOD-to-Shorts pipeline, the flat $24.99 subscription beats metered tools as soon as your monthly stream hours hit double digits.
The catch is the same one: it's a streamer's tool on a streamer's schedule. Occasional broadcasters pay the same as daily ones, there's no export-level free tier, and the AI's picks still need a human eye before posting.

The free preview scan is a genuinely good evaluation — connect your channel, see what it finds on a real stream, and only then decide if Premium earns its money.
If you stream weekly and post clips anywhere vertical, the annual plan at ~$15 a month is cheap for what is effectively a highlight editor on staff. If you stream monthly, use a metered tool instead.

What is Eklipse?
Eklipse is an AI clipping service built specifically for streamers. Connect your Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel and it scans your streams for highlight moments — kills, wins, funny reactions — then hands you vertical, captioned clips ready for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
The pitch is time: clipping a four-hour stream by hand takes longer than streaming it did, and for most creators discovery happens on short-form platforms, not on Twitch itself. Eklipse's bet is that automated highlight detection is good enough to replace that grind — its newer "Gameplay Intelligence" engine, launched June 2026, claims scene-aware clip boundaries and per-genre tuning (FPS, battle royale, MOBA, strategy) rather than fixed-window cuts.
The economics differ from general clippers like Opus Clip: Eklipse is a flat subscription, not metered by uploaded minutes. If you stream on a schedule, unlimited processing across your VODs for one monthly price beats credit-based plans that charge for every VOD minute you feed them — Eklipse's own comparison puts a 36-hour streaming month at about $0.69 per VOD hour on the monthly plan. If you only clip occasionally, the maths reverses.
How Eklipse works
A typical workflow looks like this:
- Connect your Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel — Eklipse scans a recent stream free so you can preview the clips it finds before paying.
- The AI detects highlights using gameplay-aware detection (up to 100 highlights per stream on Premium).
- Review the clips in the dashboard — pick the keepers.
- Convert to vertical format with templates, captions, jumpcuts and effects for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
- Export at up to 1080p 60fps with no watermark and post — clips are stored for 90 days on Premium.
Key capabilities
AI highlight detection — Scans streams for the moments worth clipping, tuned per game genre under the Gameplay Intelligence engine.
Multi-platform input — Twitch, YouTube and Kick channel connections on Premium.
Vertical conversion — Viral-ready templates for TikTok, Shorts and Reels with captions, jumpcuts, memes and effects.
Unlimited auto-processing — Flat-rate clipping across your streams rather than per-minute credits.
Voice Command — Full voice-command access for hands-free clip marking while you play.
High stream limits — Streams up to 12 hours, up to 100 highlights per stream, 10× faster highlight capture.
Full HD exports — 1080p 60fps, no watermark, 90-day clip storage.
Broad game support — 1,000+ games supported by the detection engine.
Eklipse plans and pricing explained
Prices are in US dollars. Eklipse simplified its tiers in June 2026 — the old Plus plan was folded into a single Premium tier, and existing Plus subscribers moved across automatically at their existing rate.
Free — signing up costs nothing and Eklipse will scan one of your recent streams so you can preview the clips it finds. Creating and exporting clips requires Premium, so think of it as a try-before-you-buy preview rather than a free plan.
Premium (web) — $24.99 a month, $112.99 every six months, or $179.99 a year, which works out at about $14.99 a month. Subscribing through the website is cheaper than in-app.
Premium (mobile app) — $27.99 a month on iOS and Android, with the same semi-annual and annual options. The app-store markup makes web signup the better route if you can.
Premium covers connecting to all platforms including Kick, unlimited auto-processing, streams up to 12 hours, up to 100 highlights per stream, Voice Command, 1080p/60fps exports with no watermark and 90-day clip storage.
Clipping live versus clipping after
Eklipse works after the fact — it scans a finished stream's VOD and picks moments. That's different from live-capture tools like Medal, where you hit a hotkey (or the game triggers) the moment something happens. VOD scanning catches things you didn't notice live and needs no setup during play, but it depends on your VOD being saved — make sure Twitch/YouTube/Kick archiving is on, since Eklipse can't scan what the platform didn't keep. Many streamers run both: live capture for the moments they felt, and a post-stream scan for the ones they missed.
Who Eklipse is for
Regular streamers — the flat rate rewards anyone streaming on a schedule.
Solo creators without an editor — VOD-to-Shorts without the manual grind.
Twitch/Kick streamers chasing TikTok growth — the exact pipeline it's built for.
Busy clips channels — up to 100 highlights per stream is a lot of raw material.
Who should look elsewhere
If you stream rarely, a metered tool like Opus Clip only charges for what you upload. If you want live capture rather than VOD scanning, Medal clips in real time. And if your content isn't gaming — podcasts, talking heads — Eklipse's game-tuned detection isn't the right fit; general clipping tools are.
Getting the most out of Eklipse
Run the free scan first — the preview shows exactly what the AI thinks is clip-worthy on your actual streams before you pay.
Subscribe on the web, not the app — it's $3 a month cheaper for identical features.
Annual saves about $120 a year over monthly — but only if you'll still be streaming then.
Review highlights before batch-exporting: AI detection is good, not perfect, and a two-minute scan of its picks saves posting duds.

Privacy & data
Eklipse needs read access to your streaming channels and processes your VODs on its servers. Review what channel permissions you grant, and remember clips are stored for 90 days on Premium.
Commercial use
Per-account subscription in USD — web cheaper than app stores for the same features. Annual is a year commitment at the lower rate. Exported clips are yours to post; check your streaming platform's VOD-retention settings so source material exists to scan.
