Its greatest strength is its connection to Adobe's professional creative ecosystem. Generated assets can move into Photoshop, Adobe Express, Illustrator, Premiere and other supported applications for further editing and production.
Adobe also places greater emphasis than many competitors on commercially focused training data, content authenticity and business deployment. Adobe states that its commercial Firefly models are trained on licensed material such as Adobe Stock, openly licensed content and public-domain material.
The main disadvantage is the generative-credit system. Standard image features are unlimited on paid Firefly plans, but premium video, audio and partner-model generations consume credits at different rates. This can make the true cost difficult to predict.
